Can any DVD burner record from tv programs?

I want to record some programs from my DVR to DVD's. Is there a DVD recorder that will do that?

Clarification Request
Depends on country, etc.

Many DVRs today are only in HD which wipes out your common DVD recorder. Other DVR's encrypt with Macrovision so that takes out most if not all recorders. Now this depends on many factors and what country you are in.

So, frankly? No. But you can try a few.

Answer
You could try,

taking the output from the DVR, usually all the outputs are live, into a computer with a video in card.

Edit the program in there and burn out to a DVD.

Works with a Mac and iMovie.
