can access mail but not internet on same computer

by lenesq / February 17, 2005 8:54 PM PST

Something changed on my computer which has blocked me from accessing the internet but not my mail. I am on an office network with 7 computers. The other computers can access the internet with no problem. I can access the internet through Outlook and get my mail with no problem. When I try to connect to the internet through Internet Explorer I get the "Page not found" screen. I have Verizon DSL, Windows XP Professional and a Dell computer. I called Verizon who had me ping the ip address which they were able to see. They said it is something on my computer but when we check Tools, Internet Options, etc. evrything is ok. Help!

That's invented for trouble like this.

Also, check for viruses and spyware.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
