Question

Can a phone be hacked? Really in need of help.

Nov 18, 2012 7:35AM PST

I really need help understanding how someone can have a text CONVERSATION with someone and make it look like all the text messages came from my phone number. I also really need to know how to prove that those text messages didn't come from me. There was supposedly a whole back and conversation that took place and all the messages had my friend's number but my friend isn't the on that had the conversation. The spoof thing is a one time message thing. Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Unfortunately....

.....local police are not going to put this problem on the top tier of their daily case load. I am not discouraging the OP from reporting it to the police, just trying to set a realistic expectation. Same thing with the cellular carrier.
