Can a Midi file be converted to wav

I downloaded some sound files from MS and want to use them on startup and exit, but they are Midi and media only uses wav. Any way of saving them as wav?

Thanks.

if you have a soudblaster wave studio ( or maybe the trial from goldwave), just hit the record button and then play the midi file. a .wav file will be created within your computer - fj
