There are drives that are just players.
Sorry guys,
Very simple question, don't know if I'm just not looking in the right place couldn't find an answer to this question.
Simple, can a blu-ray ROM drive burn DVDs and CDs?
Many thanks

its the model third from the left, although think i may go for another model, to avoid the uncertainty of the burn ability
HOWEVER, SONY'S NEW LINE OF "ALL-IN-ONE" VAIO "VGC-LT3xE" computers
do come equipped with a BLU-RAY "recorder/play" drive.
Prices start at about $1,299.00 MSRP; and go up from there.
J & R ELECTRONICS of NYC carries these models at a decent discount!!!
Try 'VAIO; VGC-LT32E' or http://www.sonystyle.com
See computers.
Best wishes,
River.
it will tell you if it can burn dvd or not. The few that I have seen it does burn dvd/cd. Here is one that burns dvd/cd.

In my experience, ROM stands for Read Only Memory. You probably need another drive that has writing capeabilities to make cds/dvds.
