Campaign promises

Build a wall and lower the national debt.

The wall does not seem to have gone any ware.

National debt looks like it's going to rise again based on this new budget deal that the Don seems to like.

Seems it gives him freedom to move money between dept's.

HE 's good at that....moving money.....

not that long ago he was spending OPM(Other Peoples Money)

HIS tweet

Farmers are starting to do great again, after 15 years of a downward spiral. The 16 Billion Dollar China “replacement” money didn’t exactly hurt!

A rose by another name?

The Don needs that area of the country to vote for him.

If he can move money and bypass congress expect to see the wall being built.

Farmers....they seem to have moved to raising pigs.

He needs that area of the country....??

Would that be the US citizens who are closest to the illegal crossers and have them running through their own neighborhoods? Well...you have a point but the same may be true of folks whose neighborhoods are infested with vermin while other neighborhoods are not. I could also suggest that the opposition party could use that opportunity to appeal to the unaffected...particularly the younger and naive crowd...and try to gather their votes.

No.
I was talking about farmers.....the mid west.
Not sure how many illegals that area has or if it's a problem.
Think electoral college.

The deep south is where the illegals come into play.
If the people of those states want a border wall then let's build it.

Neighborhood blight is a town/city problem.

They don't appear to be among the naive

but already focused as, possibly, to be on a path to leadership roles. I'm speaking about the directionless youth who wouldn't be likely to come just to hear a politician speak. I'm speaking of those who'd come for a free Bruce Springsteen and J-Zee concert if they'd also need to endure the speech of a politician such as how our previous president conducted his youth campaigns. These youth, I imagine, had less of a vision of taking a path toward leadership and more of a vision of finding someone who'd promise to absolve them of their tuition debt. Could the second scenario actually happen? Well...yes it did...about 3 miles from where I live. That candidate also offered an encore performance of busing the kids, free of charge, to the early voting facility. Such a clever plan...or do I mean devious?

No ¶, and I'm not sure of your sentence structure.

So I have to ask, is one of Reuters' photos of the week (#3, the Guatemalan woman) an example of your "vermin", or did you mean 'vermined neighborhoods' as a hypothetical or illustration?
You can see there could be a misunderstanding.

Speaking of four- and six-legged vermin, referenced in another Trump Twit*, Reuters had a longread recently about deplorable conditions in military housing being run by private contractors. Done on the watches of Presidents plural, patriots all. Photos, documentation, the works.
Again in the news, as one contractor was cut off from further "bonus payments" acquired from gaming the system as unanswered complaints piled up.

It is so hard to find a patriot these days.

I was looking for an issue other than humans. Humans can be over sensitive if subject to criticism. Some cry, some get angry, some even get violent and some....just tweet. Grin

To clarify so as not to offend
Jul 27, 2019 12:04PM PDT

Perhaps a poor choice of words but I did not want to insinuate that illegal migrants were vermin. Folks in large cities where rats and mice are a concern might also look to find politicians sympathetic to their situation. I could have sought a better analogy but was in a hurry to get in a nap. That's my "splanation" and I'm stickin' to it.

(NT) Well, thats a relief. Thanks for clarifying.

My rat story.
Jul 27, 2019 2:41PM PDT

There were rats at mom's house and they asked me what to do. I sent them a link to the trap I used (live catch) and they asked what I did with the rat once in the trap.

As a joke I said to take the rats 5 blocks to City Hall and let them loose as there were other rats there.

Now they could have been keen on the joke but that's where they say released the rats.
