Your question is not easy to answer, but here goes.
Since you have a Konica/Minolta Z3, you should know the problems with zooming during video record. The microphone will usually pick up the noise of the zoom motor.
That is why some cameras will not let you zoom.
Some cameras will either mute the microphone or muffle the microphone during zoom.
If you are capturing music at the time, you will not like that.
I only know of one camera that has a silent zoom motor.
The Canon SX30IS camera (and the older SX20IS).
If you find the Z3 complicated, the SX30 is even more so.
Here is the problem:
I don't know of any database that defines which cameras have which video/zoom capabilities.
The camera makers do not put that type of information in their specifications.
With most cameras, you have to dig it out of their user manuals.

I've been using a Konica/Minolta Dimage Z3 for the past 7 years, it was capable of doing what I need but is on it's very last legs,so searching for a replacment.
My camera needs are pretty simple, but I'm finding there are not many out there that fill them....
Here are my only Must Haves: Have at least 10x opical zoom, be able to zoom in & out while recording, must be able to record video and then "steal" frames from that video to turn into still shots. (I don't expect great quality from these stolen shots)
My "Would really like" category would include being as simple point N Shoot as possible in regular picture taking mode, and use batteries that don't cost $50 or more.
The old Z3 I have is so complicated for regular photos that I've never figured out half of it.
