Resolved Question

Camera under $400?

Nov 25, 2011 12:27AM PST

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a camera that is $400 or under, mainly for shooting landscapes and macro shots of sorts. If it has RAW shooting and 720p and up video that'd be nice as well. Don't really care on the brand as much but Canon and Nikon are my preference.

I can't thank you enough! All of those cameras are perfect for what I was looking for. I'm looking at the Canon Powershot S95, Nikon P7000, and the Samsung TL350. Thanks again!

The Canon is probably the best of the three. The Nikon apparently has very good image quality, but reviews point to it having performance issues; it is very slow. The TL350 does not have HD video capture, but otherwise is a very good stills camera.

You are correct, the TL350 does have 1080 video. I was thinking about the TL500, which is more similar to the S95 and P7000. The S95, P7000, and TL500 use a 1/1.7" digital imaging sensor. The TL350 however, uses a smaller 1/2.3" sensor, i.e. its image quality is not as good as the others.
