Camera to PC to DVD Burner....Problem?

Nov 28, 2005 8:16AM PST

I've been doing a lot of research with little results. Everything I read leads me to a MiniDV format camcorder, but some say there's a problem editing and burning the edited video to a DVD. For instance I've read that you can only burn an edited video to a VCD which can't been see through a DVD player (Sony HC21). Anyone have any wisdom?

First I've heard of such an issue.

Usually it's that USB cable question. No, USB is not a good idea.

The supplied software is poor to "don't bother installing." Maybe that's what the issue is.

So do you mean that when it somes to downloading a video from the camcorder to a DVD via my PC is just a matter of software?
