Apr 2, 2014 10:38PM PDT

I am looking for a digital camera that the screen can been seen in sunlight, or one with a view finder. I have spent hours checking out different cameras and cannot find a compact one that even has a view finder. .

Compact and view finder seem to be a contradiction due to the size of the optics needed for the view finder. That might be why they don't exist.

But I added a hood when I needed it. Some newer camera buyers forget we can fashion such with little effort. Many are looking for a solution they don't have to create themselves. Example follows.
