Camera records movies in .mov files, however..

Mar 28, 2004 1:48PM PST

The digital still camera i want to purchase also records in movie mode as .mov files. I am using Windows XP and understand Quicktime plays .mov files so i downloaded Quicktime 6.0. I don't like it. What are my options for uploading .mov files onto Windows XP? I prefer to play in my Media Player.

You can always convert the .mov file to something else.

There are lots of free programs that will convert .mov to .avi.

Go to:

http://www.google.com

search for --> mov2avi

You will find programs available for download.

Can .mov files be recorded, or burned onto a CD to be viewed on TV,(DVD Player). If so, what kind of CD needs to be used?
