It does everything you want except it will not let you zoom while you are using video.
You can stop the video, zoom the camera, and then restart the video.
Very few digital cameras will let you zoom while recording video.
Most of the ones that will, will also record the sound of the zoom motor too.
That is usually distracting to most people
I'm looking for a new basic camera. Here are my requests:
- Quality photos that I can crop or blow up
- Little shutter lag time (if this is even possible with a digital)
- Quality video in HD with zooming and all that (preferably .avi since my current camera is .mov and it's annoying to manipulate/convert).
That's about it. Does such a camera exist for under $300? Thank you!
