Camera and video editing OS is Vista; will they accept 7.

Every time I upgrade, my previous camera, capture, edit and play stuff no longer works. Has Windows 7 worked with older software.

The answer is that Windows 7 appears to be more compatible with more programs than Vista was. But you will always find something that didn't make the leap.

While I think this release is likely to be what XP was to Windows ME in history you may want to move slowly and research the titles you want to use.

You may want to check for updated drivers and software from the manufacturer. Vista drivers will probably still work, depending on the OS architecture (32- or 64-bit).

with the Vista drivers. I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers as soon as they were available.

If it worked with Vista it will probably work with Windows 7. Wouldn't be a bad idea to run the Upgrade Advisor and maybe look to see what others with similar equipment are saying online about compatibility.

Cheers,
