camcorder with no eye view finder

I recently bought a Maplins camcorder with just an LCD view finder (no eye view) I took it on my ski holiday and all could could see was my own reflection in the screen ,presumably because of the snow, it wasnt an expensive item at

The reason for the lack of the feature is lower cost. (that's my comment.)

so are you saying a more expensive camcorder would eliminate this problem ... and yes i have returned it

But in the drive to hit lower prices models can remove features to get to the lower price. Every button, lens, indicator is up for removal to drop the price. This may or may not mean the more expensive product is required but now you know what you want.
