Camcorder video on my pc

Hello, i converted my video from my camcorder and put it on my pc with the fire port and dv wires...now i have the video on my computer but I cannot figure out why the file is so big.....its only a 10 minute video and its over 2 GB, can someone help me and let me know what i need to do to get it smaller...thank you -Joe

Yes it will be. DV is very high quality video, and the files will be large, 2gb for 10min is the going rate, everthing is normal.
What program did you use to capture the video??? You can use any video editting program to convert it to MPG2 or WMV, etc.
