Sorry, I thought that the Handycam was a group that shared common programming.
I have the Sony Handycam HDR-PJ430V and have purcheased the ADP-WL1M to connect the WiFi only to find there is no program to use to talk back and forth. So it just sits there connected and happy and is good for absolutely nothing.
A Sony reply wrote "No remote codes are currently available online for the HDR-PJ430V"
But Sony does claim "Remote functions include zoom, REC start/stop, and changing recording modes. You can also backup all your videos and photos on your PC without any wires" but does not appear to reveal how to code this up.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.playmemories.mobile so Sony is all over the map on this feature.
