Camcorder Playback Disfuctional

Hi, recently I dropped my camera and now during playback there are frozen lines across the screen, usually frozen images from where the playback was started or something I recently recorded. It also randomly skips and freezes or loses sound, never in the same spot twice, If you replay it, it will freeze a different frame.

My last resort would be going to get it repaired at a shop, but I think I could fix it myself. I've dropped it before and after I tinkered with it then recorded, the lines disapeared. When I try to transfer the videos to my computer, they also come out with the lines and sends a ringing sound through my speakers. I think I screwed it over pretty badly.

Any suggestions?

PS, this camera takes MiniDVS and the tapes aren't the problem.
