Camcorder performance in high temperature situations

Oct 7, 2010 2:13PM PDT

I am seriously considering the Panasonic HDC-TM700K for travel in central Africa, and I'm wondering about its performance in high temperature situations. The operating manual gives maximum operating temperature as 104, and humidity 80%. I don't think I'll be in hotter temps than that, but I may be in the 90% humidity range. Besides, some SDHC card specs aren't rated for much over 85 degrees.

Does anybody have any real-life experience with camcorder and card operations at these high temps and humidity?

Thanks for any and all advice.
