camcorder i can pre set to record intermittantly over 24 hou

I want to set up a camcorder on a tripod and preset times or a timer to go on/off at different intervals

Never found such a thing. Made such from time to time.

If you get one with LANC control you can use some PC or other thing to tell the camcorder what to do. However if we are doing that much, why not a surveilance class DVR and a camera?
