I'd use any number of security cameras and a projector. Simple to wire up. Will I spend less than 300?
1. Camera -> http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=SM-3033F&cat=VID
34 bucks.
2. Projector for same -> http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=FPC-151-PB
100 bucks.
Looks like plug and play.
As to the camcorder, most auto shut off which ruins plans like yours.

Hi all,
I am in the market to buy a camcorder. I will be using this camcorder with my light table. The light table acts like an overhead projector. In my case I have a table with a frosted plexi-glass top, a light source above the table and a camcorder below, pointed at the underside of the table. The images from the camcorder will be fed to a projector, creating live, low-fi projections! Does that make sense?
Anyhow, I am looking for a cheap, but amazing camcorder to capture the images that I create on the light table. I need something that has a wide screen, manual control, and nice image quality. I am hoping not to spend over $300. yipes.
Since I am new to the world of camcorders, I would love to hear your recommendations. Thank you kindly.
