Camcorder for $500 or less--- which one should i get?

hi guyz!!

i don't know alot about camcorders and so i would like ur help in choosing a camcorder for 500 dollars -- which is standard branded(sony,canon....)---and has great features!?? idk what makes a camcorder special-

Note: it should be a DVD camcorder

You won't find a special dvd cam for $500.
I'd go with something like the Canon Optura 50.
You can get it online for $400.
Its mini-dv.
Its features and video quality can't be beat at that price.

I recommend bhphotovideo.com
