Camcorder ease of use but high on usefullness

Hi this time it's a nana I don't want to pay over the top but I need good reproduction thats simple Prob good telescopic and good time from when I want film and when it does it Also easy editing SoOO Should it be DVD or mvd All comments are gratefully accepted
I'm in New Zealand by the way and although we aren't "third World" we mighten have all the cameras available in the USA
P.S. We aren't part of Australia
But a beautiful country

What brands are sold in New Zealand?
What is your budger?
It's hard to say not knowing what you have axcess to.
Mini DV would be the way to go. John

Hi Sony seems to be most popular but we have panasonic ;canon Jvc nation wide
Budget wise about $600 American Thanks
