There are several devices on the market that will do what you want.

However, the price for the device exceeds the price of a bunch of extra memory sticks.

I have not seen a solution that does not cost more than buying more memory for the camera.

EPSON P2000 and X-drive super. I'm not sure whether it arrives to the US market or not. In Asia Pacific, it costs around $500 equipped with choices of hard drive ( from 20-80GB ). Considering the amount of Gigabyte storage, it's cheaper than getting 3-4 of 1GB memory stick. It has the feature similar to IPOD ( equipped with storing & displaying digital pictures ) . Good luck.

VoxDrive MP3+ may be the answer.
Mar 30, 2005 12:42PM PST

I have been looking for the answer to the very same problem. At web site xpcgear.com they are selling a USB 2.0 Portable Mass Digital Storage Device for Digital Camera with Built-in 6 in 1 Flash Memory Card Reader, MP3 Player and LCD Display. It is the VoxDrive MP3+. It has a 2.5 inch hard drive and a 2.5 inch LCD screen to show the files that are transferred.
Different models run from 20GB for about $212 to 80GB for about $374. My question is Has anybody ever seen or used this device? How well does it work? Where else can you buy it? Is xpcgear a reputable company?
