Call of duty 2...?

Mar 21, 2007 4:25PM PDT

hello, I just bought call of duty 2 which is online enabled and it has the online logo in it's case, so i tried it out, and it wont connect to the internet so I tried flat out 2 and it connected right away same with some other games went back to call of duty 2, tried to connect...
"requesting DHCP configuration..."
and then "could not access the external netwrok device. Please check all connections and reconnect".
So I went ahead and disabled my norton anti-virus, firewall and all the other features of it.
Still not working but it connects right away with the other games...
of course it works fine in single mode so the disc shouldnt be damaged or anything...

What the @#$%$%^! any suggestions?????????/

thanks a lot, Marcelo.

Same problem with an online download
Mar 28, 2007 10:07AM PDT

I am having the same problem with mine. It says it is trying to connect to the internet, but it fails. Then it tells me I should reconnect manually and try again. Odd.

I downloaded Call of Duty 2 and it is doing the exact same problem. So it isn't your cd. I tried disabling my antivirus, firewall, and spamguard. Nothing worked. I dunno.

hey,,,

well I fixed my problem with it, it makes senese but it is still odd. I was connecting my ps2 with an ethernet cable to my laptop, and that way i could use the laptops wireless connection to my router 50 feet away from my room. So when I connected directly to the router it worked, but when I was using the laptop that was the only game that didnt work that way, and now call of duty 3 wont work that way either, and I havent tried it directly to the router yet.
So it kind of makes sense but if the other games work....
anyway but it was still kind of bad cause it is friggin hard to join a game as i get the "unable to connect to all players" message and I have high speed connection....whatever.

Probably not but, are you connecting wirelessly?
if you are then try connecting directly the ps2 to the router if not, i dont know.
