There are a couple of good discs available to help set up your display, Video essentials is popular. If you want it set to an even higher standard, then yes calling in a professional is the only way to go (not cheap).
Check out www.imagingscience.com, there should be listings on this site for people that can do this service, Calgary is big enough that I would guess there should be someone out your way.
I am thinking of purchasing one of the new Samsung DLP 1080P televisions. I currently have a 4 year old Toshiba 16 X 9 56 inch rear projection. I have read at a number of sites that the DLP should be calibrated to bring out the best in the t.v. My question, should the calibration be done by a professional t.v. technician or is there a disk available for do it yourself calibration? If its a professional does anyone know who I would contact in Calgary? Does a set have to be re-calibrated every now and then such as every year? Thanks.
