Calendar glitches in ver 5.1.1 on 3GS

by michhala / June 24, 2012 5:04 PM PDT

I just upgraded from 4.3.5 on my 3GS to 5.1.1 and installed iCloud......finally! My computer is a Windows 7 PC.

There are now problems with setting Calendar Alerts. Some were gone and reconfiguring them for first Alert 2 days and second Alert 1 day was very difficult but successful after many, many attempts......it took several hours.

Is this a known glitch?

All in all the install seems pretty successful except for the above-mentioned problem and the loss of photos that were not on Camera Roll (no problem as they are on my computer).

.........checked with Apple yet about the issue? Maybe the newer iOS on the 3GS isn't fully compatible.

I checked first at the Apple Store and was told it was compatible......everything seems to be working fine and the new Alert settings are holding. I am grateful it went as well as it did. Was just curious to know if the Calender glitch was one that was known.

...that it seems to be working now. Probably just a small glitch that resolved itself. Just make sure you document any future glitches if it becomes a recurring issue.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
