Cable/Satelite w/o settop boxes?

Oct 21, 2008 2:20AM PDT

I would like to know if it is possible to get cable/satellite service without having to have a set top box for each tv. I do not need/want any HD programming of premium channels. Just want to be able to get basic cable on several tv's and my pc without having to pay rent for a box for each one. Is this possible?

I have my bedroom TV hooked up that way with cable. You just need to make sure your TV has a tuner and the coax input on the back. It is an analog signal so you don't get the guide but you get all the basic channels that way.

Thanks. That is what I used to do but now they are broadcasting a digital signal and it will not work anymore.

Here, Cox and Comcast still have the analog channels on cable. I heard someone claim they went all digital but here, in NE, CA, MA, TX the old plug the cable into the TV is still working.
