i have a biostar m7vit-800 motherboard and want to install a seagate barracuda es 2 500gb hard drive (model #ST3500620SS) can u tell me what cables i need to connect these two?

I did but its a "serial attached SCSI (SAS)" similar to SATA but not SATA I think i'll give up on this and get SATA h/d i live in a rural area and the chances of getting anything for SAS would be impossible but thanks for the input

There are cables that allow you connect drives motherboards with mismatched ports (for example connecting an IDE drive to a mobo with sata ports) - try the Microcenter website
