Have you checked with the game manufacturer's site to find a fix?

Hope this helps.

fretted, ran registry fix demo, and all of a sudden...

the installs worked quickly on my super duper machine. why, i don't have any earthly idea. seems to be an EA specific install issue. tech support at Acer gave me the bright idea of re formatting my hard drive. glad i didn't do that.Happy

who knows? nothing like a rush of adrenaline to get the body into overdrive. sometimes computer issues can be more effective than coffee in getting you mobilized. wowie zowie! don't like those system 32 messages. used to get them on ME almost daily.

anyway, thanks for the replies.
