C.D to folder

Feb 5, 2006 7:24AM PST

Hi there,

I have a C.D. which I would like to copy to a folder on my computer so I can play it without the C.D in the drive. I have done this before but can't remember how. I tried >my computer>right click>open>select all>copy to folder. They played, but only when the C.D was in the drive.
These are karaoke C.D.'s. The other ones I have saved have two files for each song. These are a CDG file (which I think is for the video bit but haven't a clue really) and an MP3 which I know is for the song. These ones will play without the C.D. in the drive.

The C.D. I'm having the problem with only has only got, Track1.cda, Track2.cda etc. It has got the W.M.P icon beside it though. The ones I have managed to do in the past have the song name followed by .MP3

Could it be due to the way the problem C.D. has been copied?

Thanks in advance, Kiai x

I am using XP home edition.
