Buzztown get together - Austin?

by TimTheRocketScientist / October 23, 2007 4:09 PM PDT

Would anyone be interested in getting some nearby Buzztown residents together at a local pub in Austin? I think The Gingerman (on 4th) would do well.

It could be an excellent get planning session for our world domination, and Buzztown Air and Space Command.

If you get together in Austin

You could always get together at the Texas Showdown Saloon on Guadelupe. If Scott or Jennifer are bartending (or maybe a few others) tell them Tom Merritt says hello. Scott used to run Fringeware, the ultimate geek store in Austin back in the day.

Also look for Al or Brit Jones for me.

... but I don't think that they would let us into the pub, being under the legal drinking age and all.

Maybe we could have an alternate location for Buzz fans under 21.

In reply to: besides...

X-Wings do have a rather large wingspan. Parking in Austin is bad enough in a Suburban; can't imagine trying to find a spot in an X-Wing. Maybe something smaller, like an A-Wing...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
