Buying Vista on to use in the UK

I am currently living in the UK, and I am contemplating buying vista from the US and having it shipped here. Does anyone know if there are any conflict issues where if I bought it in the US, something might not work in the UK.

Will there be any reason that this will not work, such as installation, downloading updates and just generally getting it to work in the UK. It just seems ridiculous to spend

As I am sure you are aware, the EU (they hate microsoft) commission is still deciding if Vista has complied with their demands.
It may be a problem just installing the US version as it connects to MSFT and may not allow installation of the US version in the UK.
I am from the UK and have lived for years now in the USA by the way!
My brother in Sheffield is waiting to see what the EU commission decides before buying.....

Is it likely that the EU will allow Microsoft?

I know that the new versions have coplied in that there is no media player bundled with the "N" packages. Is this what you mean?

Also, Vista is available for pre-order in the UK so presumably if I buy one of these it will work. What i would like to know is if there will be any difference between buying in the UK and buying in the US, aside from price.
