Question

buying used laptop

Hi, my old computer is "kaput"....I need to get a new(used) laptop, to surf the net, photo and school work...maybe skype sometime, my budget is $100 or less...Toshiba satellite, Acer, Dell??....maybe window 10 included...any suggestion?? Thanks Daniel

I don't see 100 dollar laptops out there. So if you are shopping in this range, you have to go with what you can find.

what about a Dell D6400 with dual core 2,66, 4 GB, 160 memory???

It's old and more so no one I know of will tell you it's OK. Be sure it's working and you can restore the OS (reinstall DVDs are a must unless you run Linux or W10.)

That is a very old specs even for the oldest computer. Not sure if you could run the app smoothly with that specs. Just save more and getting a better one.

check thrift stores in your area

For instance, Goodwill or Salvation Army. Often they are donated old but still good stuff, including computer items, to sell, cheaply. Look in local phone book for thrift stores in yellow pages or do that online.

Thanks for the advise James!!! The Dell D6400 has Window 10 or 7 (with both recovery DVD) on it and warranty for 90 days.....$99 and free shipping....
