Stay Away From Anywhere In NY
Aug 10, 2005 7:59AM PDT

And don't be fooled by their name. Abe's of Maine is loctaed in Brooklyn. these places are rip offs. One place, I think it was www.bestpricecameras.com tried to charge me and additional $299 for the pedestal stand the TV comes on!!! That's what they do, advertise ridiculously low prices and then rip you off once you try to place the order. Stay away!

I ended up getting my 42" Sony plasma (KDE-42XS955) from www.Vanns.com. They're located in Montana and they had very good prices. best of all they are an authorized Sony dealer and they don't charge for delivery (usually over $200 for an item like this) or tax. They are very professional and helpful. Paid $3499 and the unit was delivered in perfect condition, original box, etc. six days after I placed the order (and I live in NYC). I can't say enough good things about them!
