Buying new tv which contrast ratio

by phil66 / December 27, 2007 11:13 AM PST

I am search a number of brands of 32" lcd tv's such as samsung, sony, phillips, zenith,lg

Most of the spec's are very close together

The real difference comes in the contrast ratio these will run from 1000:1 to 8000:1 on different models

How much better is the picture quality on the 8000:1 compared to the 1000:1

Is there a high or low point for good ratio

Have you gone to a store and looked at them?

In general the higher the contrast ratio the better, but once you get over 1000 to 1 it does get harder to tell the difference. John

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
