Buying LCD 26 and 32 but need to hook up VCR

by RosemaryTV / June 6, 2007 9:33 PM PDT

Hi!
I want to buy 2 LCD TV's that I want to put on wall but I will need to also mount a DVD/VCR to each. I don't want to get DVR from Comcast as it is expensive and I don't need anymore monthly fees. I just need VCR to tape my favorite TV shows. Is there a way to mount TV on wall and then attach a DVD/VCR somehow? I have to put it on the wall as I have no room for a piece of furniture in room. Right now my huge very heavy TV is mounted on wall. Do they sell such a wall mount for LCD and DVD/VCR? Also need advice on what LCD TV to buy? I am a novice to this field and don't have a lot of money. Can you tell me which TV's will give me the most bang for my buck?
Thanks for all your help

The next best thing would be to call in all your handy friends; and yes there are mounting hardwares for lcd as well as wall mounting shelf available. You got to be the judge as to which fits best to your home. Good luck.

I have a person who is handy

I know someone who is handy to put it up. I can't seem to find a swivel wall mount that has a DVD/VCR Bracket that will attach to it. There is a nice wall mount swivel by Peerless at Costco but I don't know how you would attach a bracket to it or where you get it. I can't even find a wall mounted shelf to use that would work but that would not be as good of an alternative. Does anyone have a suggestion?

If you have someone handy

Seems like all you need is to build a box deep enough, wide enough and high enough to hold your recorder inside. Mount that to the wall and put your TV on top. An LCD is light enough that you will not have a problem turning it on the shelf.
