Buying first camcorder, need advice

I am looking for a camcorder, under $300, that I can take the file and use the ROXIO to edit and burn to DVD for my standard TV. What is the best camcorder for the job. I was looking at JVC Everio GZ-MS120, but is says it is best for Web-ready videos, I was looking to burn the file to DVD for the TV.
