Question

Buying advice for $700-$900

Jan 25, 2014 2:47AM PST

Hello and thanks to all who chime in with their opinion. I am a disabled Army veteran and no longer have the dexterity required to build my own computers. So I find myself needing to outright purchase a pre-built computer.

My budget is about 7-9 hundred, max after tax and delivery if there was an amazing deal would be $1000. I do NOT need a keyboard mouse or monitor. I have a 27inch dvi/vga/hdmi monitor. I DO need windows OS. A new headset would be nice but only if it is a perk or free with purchase of something else.

I am a gamer, though I don't play anything to intense. But the ability to play some of the new blizzard games coming out (Heroes of the storm, diablo 3 expansion) at high settings would be nice.

I am aware that building is cheaper and I appreciate those who will try and talk me into doing it. But I truly can't do it. So please don't respond if that is your goal.

Thanks again for all the help.

Sounds OK

This seems OK for the most part and would probably work for what you want to do. The ONLY thing that I see a potential issue with is the capacity of the PSU, power supply, 400 watts is a little light, I'd rather see 500 to 600 watt supply, aside from that it seems to be decent. The I-5 is a decent processor, typically they work very well.
