Question

Buying a new laptop to Stream Sports

Sep 5, 2015 4:10PM PDT

Its time to replace my old laptop. I usually buy whatever mid priced laptop is on sale but I am buying the NHL online package so I'm not sure what i need and don't need for it to be high quality picture and not choppy. I will be hooking up to my TV with an HDMI cord. Also, should I hook up directly to my modem or is WIFI fine?

Answer
Choppy is mostly about the internet quality.

WiFi can be fine unless there are issues with interference or "other."

I'd shop for the usual AMD A8, 8GB or better machine. I can't tell where you are but post back with a specific model and let's look again.

I'm looking at a Toshiba Satellite L-series. AMD A8, 16GB for $660 at Toshiba.com. I could drop down to 8GB and get an Intel i5 for about the same price.
