Any Windows OS would eat 200 of that. This means no new machine and I find upgrading to a dual core CPU to chew up 200 fast in new CPU, RAM and board.
Try this. Look at a ready to use machine like you see in the stores.

Hello everyone. Thank you in advance for any suggestions that you may offer.
I am a graphic designer with a small ecommerce business where I sell my work around the world. I am in need of upgrading my computer system but cannot afford very much. I can build it myself if necessary but do not know where to start with modern options.
Simultaneously, I use Firefox, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. I need something strong enough to run them all comfortably. i also like to play streaming radio while i work, usually with XMPlayer.
I prefer a pc not a mac. Currently, my pc has a single core processor, 1.8 gb intel pentium 4; Windows Vista; a 120 gb hard drive; and 2 gb memory.
I would like an inexpensive new desktop with Windows 7 to do my work. What do you recommend? My old monitor is ok for now and my printer is pretty new. I am not a gamer.
Thank you for your suggestions. I would like to do all of this upgrading under $400.00.
