Buying a gaming laptop need opinions please

Aug 30, 2015 5:33PM PDT

Hey yall, Im new to the site so if I am doing anything wrong please let me know. I am looking to buy a new gaming laptop for school and of course gaming. My budget is no more than $1600. I have been doing some research but would like some opinions on what yall think would be my best purchase. This link is one that I am looking at, if anyone knows any pitfalls to that one or can give me links to ones like it or better please do. Any advice would be nice. Thank you.

The thing is, it's school.

You're walking into the trap here. 17inch models have students writing regret later. These do not hold up well to daily lugging it around.

My bet is that in a year or 2 you'll understand that.

Agreed, but...

I completely understand that and was thinking that as well. Just hard to find a laptop with good gaming specs at 15.6in.

You went pretty far out.

Why not pull back from the edge? Why not settle for games at medium settings? This is not why you are going to school. Gaming is down time, after a few weeks, you won't have that much time.

Look at the 15 inch models with 860 or 960m's

How about MSI GE62?You can find the price below US1500 in the e-shop website,I'd checked the spec is good for gamer ,and affordable if budget limitation.
