For me that comes down to two exits. Dell and Apple.
The problem today with PCs is the spyware issues and no tech support gives that support for free. So read up on SPYWARE and get them to use something other than Internet Explorer or ... get them an Apple.

Hi! I live in London and unfortunately don't get to see my family in the US of A so much these days. I'd like to set my parents up with a DSL-connected desktop, which I can use to call them, send digital photos, and simply to make the Atlantic a bit smaller.
The trouble is my folks are not computer literate. If I talk them through, they'll pick it up slowly, but they will get lost when things go wrong. On top of that, their english could be better.
So what do I do? I need a desktop that comes with premium tech support. Any ideas? How do I find one? What types of tech support are there? Which ones work? Any help would be appreciated!!
