Buyer Beware- Dell 15z No SSD Installed.

Nov 9, 2011 4:26AM PST

Hello I just had this happen to me. Dell had to replace my Adamo 13 because of constant overheating that they could not fix.( replaced Motherboard, Heat Syc and fan, 7 times) Among other things. They gave me a 15z as a replacement but it did not with a Solid State Drive. So they had a Service Tech come and install one. Well he damage the Palm Assembly so they decided to send me another new 15z. Sounds like good customer service. Well its not! I got scammed!! They sent me a new 15z with. This one with a SSD already installed. According to the Purchase order it shows a SSD installed. (P.O. Number for reference 837453591). Well I know the performance of a SSD is so when I got my laptop, I noticed it took three minutes to start up. I called Dell and asked about the SSD and they reassured me that it did have a SSD. I called back today to complain and now they tell me that it DOES NOT HAVE A SSD! So my concern to all who have purchased a SSD from Dell is to double check to make sure you really have what you paid for. BTW the Tech. guy is claiming that this the first time he has heard of this situation. You would think they would have some kind of quality control. If it could happen to me, it could happen to you. BUYER BEWARE
