Mar 3, 2005 1:39PM PST

Do any of you know of any online store where i can buy indivitual music tracks (with out having to subscribe) in Australia. I have had a look on Music Match and MSN Music, but you can't buy tracks there if you live in Australia (like me). Please help me, i don't want to download music illegaly.

Try Wal Mart.com at .88 per song. I don't know the legalities of you being in Australia, but I use them.

Found something
Mar 24, 2005 5:02PM PST

I have found a site that is for Australian Residents only. www.bigpondmusic.com if anyone wants to know what it is. BTW, does anyone know a free way to convert WMA to MP3, as i have 111 songs from CD's that i have, and i want these extra songs to "fit in". When i downloaded them they were in WMA. I would leave them in WMA if i have a Zen Micro, but the only thing i have is a diskman that can play MP3 cd's, and i don't think it can play WMA. Thanx.

Converting to MP3

I recommend Easy CD-DA Extractor from Poikosoft. It's small at 6MB, is easy-to-use, and supports multiple formats, including wma and wav. Just drag the My Music folder to the file list from the built-in file explorer, select the output type and quality, and press convert. Best part...it takes less than 10 seconds to convert a 3 minute song, including the track information! Mind you, it's just a 30-day trial version, but it's the best program I've found.

Hope this helps,
John

The iTunes software, you don't have to go to the store, is available and will handle all the formats that folks have been talking about in this thread. The only thing is does not handle is Protected WMA format.
