Buslink external harddrive recognition problem

Mar 11, 2010 3:25AM PST

Up until recently, my ipod touch, Buslink external harddrive, and itunes have all worked perfectly in unison. However, I have recently run into a quite annoying problem. I am running under Windows XP service pack 2. My external harddrive will work fine in itunes until I connect my ipod touch to connect music to it. At that point, itunes is unable to find any of the music that was previously on my external harddrive and my harddrive changes it's name from "BUSLINK" to "Local Disk". When I try to navigate to the drive, it appears empty. I am assuming it is a USB issue, but have no idea how to fix it.

Thank you for any help in advance.
