Business Partnership Advice

Jan 4, 2010 6:10AM PST

We are 3-partners company already started a year ago. We all have full time job and are working in part time to build our business idea. It is a web project and we outsource the design and development work to India. The project idea is great, but since we are working in part time, the progress is pretty slow, not only the development side, but also the marketing, the decision making, the business planning, etc. Recently, we also find that the budget is almost close to our limit. I know there are some missing pieces which needs to be completed before launch, but we have some argument about our working capital. With that in mind,

1. Should we launch our project no matter what?
2. Should we give up our idea since we don't have time to work on?
3. What other alternatives do we have?

Your advice is much appreciate. Thank you.

Regards,
Marcelo

Don't give up!

First thing... decide on a day & time each week to discuss all those matters that aren't getting resolved. Have an agenda that you all contribute to... and stick to it.
Open a Skype account. It's free. I think it's just www.skype.com
Calls are free and there is a conference call facility so that all three of you can be online "in a meeting".
Decide on an action for each item on the agenda, and decide who needs to action it. All before the next meeting.
Do you each have different skills?
Break the total job down into three areas... and decide which of you will be best for each.
Sometimes the hardest part is just getting organized!
If you've already invested time and money into this project... keep at it.
Hope this helps.

From Alvin who spams his business here.

I second everyone here, do not give up! As a small business owner myself, I can tell you that I started my business the same way, it took investing some extra time and effort, but once it got off the ground I was able to move from my job to full time managing my own business. Believe me, nothing beats being your own boss!

dont give up,just go ahead.behave like a professional because if you have to face some problems in a business the goal should be to resolve those not to create new ones.
