Only give part of the answer or answer one of the posed questions.

This is acceptable in this discussion forum. If you head to paid support forums you can expect answers as you paid for them. Here, it's all volunteer and we are thankful for any reply or ideas.

-> That out of the way, you may want to click on the ASK FOR CLARIFICATION button and add the full model number of the device that you think is not working right. There's a lot of Bushes out there.

New and on a tablet
Aug 30, 2016 8:47AM PDT

I am new to this forum thing and a little bit lost to be honest and I am extremely grateful for any help which is forthcoming, I am using a tablet and don't have use of a computer so I presume it would help a fair bit to use a computer, I don't know where the clarification button is? and the bush is a Bush DVR160HDD which when I try to search for channels it just ends up saying that there is no live picture at the input
My apologies for not using the correct etiquette etc

"DVB-C: No
DVB-S: No
DVB-T: No"

To me that meant that one has no tuner. And given the scart input has yet to be good for antenna, well what a mess.

I am thinking this is not what you really wanted. That is, here this will fail even if it had the tuner as the channels it decoded (the other bush I think had a tuner) are now longer on the air.

SUMMING IT UP. I think you have a recorder from 2008 or prior and it's not what you think it is. Or I can't find the right web page on your model.

-> OK, I see the model number but given it's age, you have to supply better links so I can read up on what it is, does and can do.

Sorry, my mistake.

I did not realize what I jumped into. "Scart" is something I have no knowledge of, I'll stay out of this discussion.
