Apr 12, 2006 3:26PM PDT

I have updated my pc & i have windows media edition installed with DVD burning. I am using NERO 7 ultra edition to burn DVD's & CD's. I am trying to burn mpg files on my computer onto a DVD-R, Once it has burned finished burning the disc but when i play back on a DVD player the picture is not clear & has little squares, the sound is fine. The mpg files play back on windows media player 10 has good quality. I am using a DVD-R disc to burn. Can i get help?

How did you create the MPEG file?

You may have overcompressed it.

What size is the display attached to the DVD player? If it

is substantially larger than the image displayed on the PC, then you will not see the problems when viewing the video on the computer. Video was/is frequently played on a computer in a very small box to allow lower quality video to look good.

It sounds like you are seeing low resolution pixelation.
