Which operating system are you using?
Are these movies from copyrighted disks? Personal home movies? Downloaded files from a website? Some other type?
What formatting is used for the recorder and the media? Do both match with DVD+ or DVD-?
What file type are the movies and how are you burning them? Are these simply "data disks" which burn the physical file to the disk? DVD disks required DVD formatting to actually play as a DVD.
Please give us any EXACT error messages seen.
Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,
I have been trying to burn movies to dvd disc to play on my standard dvd player for the TV but I am doing something wrong as it never works.
The movies are classed as 'video clip' file types and I am using nero 7.
It seems to run through the process and then either gives me an error message or nothing happens in the end.
I have had a look at the help files but it doesn't answer my questions.
I would be seriously grateful if someone out there could help me solve this.
Thanks for your help, Bel2006. ![]()
