Hi there
I have Nero 6 and a DVD Burner. I need to transfer some data onto DVD disks for backup reasons, but Nero is giving me a hard time.
I begin by selecting "DVD" (instead of CD) in Nero SmartStart, and then I select "Make Data Disc".
I then drag my data just like I do when I burn a data CD, but when I try to burn the DVD, Nero tells me:
"Burn Failed. Could not start Disc-at-once at 2.4x"
Nero will not let me choose the write speed nor the write method. Disc-at-once is the only method that appears.
Any ideas why this is happening? The DVD discs that I try to use are DVR -R's (not DVD +R's). Does that make a difference for Data DVD's? (My DVD burner states that it can burn both DVD -R and DVD +R discs.)
Is there something special I should know about burning data DVD's?
Also Nero has a limit of 4500MB for a Data DVD, whereas on the DVD -R's the stated capacity is 4.7 GB. Does 4.7 GB = 4500 MB?
Thanks for your help.
P.S. I tried to contact Nero directly for support but they never got back to me even though I have purchased the original software.
